Personality -
Mint Pearl would be considered a disobedient, rebellious Pearl if others saw her interacting with other gems but this certainly isn't the case. Malachite, her owner, treats her much like a child and she has a friendly relationship with her owner. The two can often be found making jokes at eachother's expenses, but Mint Pearl is still very loyal to Malachite and loves to help her out in any way that she can.
She's kind deep down... Way deep down, under about four layers of sass, sarcasm, and pride. She hides her kind soul so that she doesn't get treated like a doormat and end up being vulnerable.
She'd never back-chat a gem of higher rank than her without already establishing a friendly relationship with them that allows for banter. She's not a fan of being told what to do by other gems, though.
She's also very much a perfectionist - everything has to be perfect for her owner, after all.
History -
Minty was custom-made to be the Pearl of an aristocratic gem back on Homeworld, a Malachite, to be exact. Minty obviously went with her owner when news of a new Court arising reached them, and Malachite quickly took a liking to the plant life on the planet and found that she had quite a knack for gardening, thanks to her Phytokinesis. And, finally, Minty found her weapon useful! She had no idea what it was for before, but it suddenly all made sense and the pair set to work as gardeners in the new colony. And Mint Pearl would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy all the new perks.
